Canandaigua wrestling has a strong tradition of excellence. Since the 1960’s Canandaigua has been repeatedly crowning sectional champions (136), state place finishers (45), individual state champions (10), and twice winning a team state title. Canandaigua has the second most amount of state place finishers in the history of the New York State tournament.

The success of this program is deeply rooted in our community. Many of our alumni have gone on to become business leaders, teachers, and leaders in the military and law enforcement to name a few. It is our program’s goal to continue to develop our young men and women into future community leaders; by emphasizing commitment, discipline, and selflessness. It is our belief that these traits are essential for success both on and off the mat.
